Rotary has agreed to fund a disabled young person on a special project in memory of one of our Rotarians who did so much work with the Disabled RYLA.
A place has been booked on the Jubilee Sailing Trust sailing ship the Tenacious which sails from Southampton on 10th September on a voyage that will last 5 days.
We are seeking a candidate who must be between the ages of 18 and 25 years and is physically disabled (not learning difficulties). A wheelchair user is preferred.
In the first instance the candidate should produce a CV and a short essay on why they would like to be chosen.
We are also required to submit a short report on the suitability of their candidate.
The most suitable person will be selected so no promise of the voyage should be made to any candidate until the selection process is complete.
The Rotary Club of Newbury will be responsible for getting the chosen young person to and from Southampton and applications must be received by 10th June
Do you have anybody who fits the bill and may be interested in this oportunity?
